Switching your car to E85 ethanol: how it works

Our ethanol conversion is a purely software-based remap: no box, no added parts. We adapt your ECU's original map to bioethanol — injection, ignition and cold start — then check the result by comparing the mixture corrections (the “trims”) before and after. You can then run on E85, petrol, or any mix of the two, in any proportion.

Petrol engines only

E85 ethanol conversion applies to petrol engines only. A diesel engine cannot be converted to ethanol.

Ethanol kit or remap: what's the difference?

An ethanol kit is an add-on box wired between the ECU and the injectors: it corrects the injection from the outside. Our conversion is done directly in the original ECU, with no box or extra wiring: the engine management itself — injection, ignition and cold start — is adapted to ethanol.

Is your car compatible?

Every engine reacts differently to ethanol. Thanks to our experience and very thorough training in ethanol conversion, we tell you before any work what is possible for your model. Sometimes we recommend the ethanol conversion on its own, without a Stage 1, because the model's mechanics would not handle it. Message us on WhatsApp with the make, model and year: we will get back to you quickly.

Why run on E85

E85 is cheaper per litre than petrol, but consumption rises by about 20 to 30%: the saving depends on the day's price gap. The E85 network is dense in neighbouring France, a few minutes from Geneva and the Chablais.

Our ethanol customers, in French-speaking Switzerland and neighbouring France

We welcome customers from all over French-speaking Switzerland: Lausanne, Geneva, Nyon, Morges, Vevey, Montreux, the Chablais (Aigle, Bex, Monthey), Valais, Fribourg and Neuchâtel. And from neighbouring France: the Pays de Gex (Ferney-Voltaire, Gex, Saint-Genis-Pouilly, Divonne-les-Bains), Annemasse, Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, Thonon-les-Bains, Évian-les-Bains and Annecy.
